Counselling

Counselling / Accompanying

- in the form of individual sessions, for those whom may be wanting to work on making deep changes in their lives, find themselves in a time of questioning or transition, need support during a particular trial or time of grieving, are going through a difficult time in the areas of depression or identity crisis, or wish to deepen their spiritual life. You will be welcomed with respect and your situation treated confidentially.

Counselling takes many forms - God’s ways are infinite and so the commonly used word ‘counselling’ is sometimes not the best term to convey the interaction whereby someone coming for help may best be accompanied toward their goal of inner healing.

That interaction will depend on the person and the issues presented, for which a counsellor needs a varied ‘tool box’ and an acute attention to the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

Time of rest

- in our Community (possibility of 1-6 weeks in duration), with the purpose of:

Taking time of rest in a family like comunity in a place with splendid views overlooking Lac Léman (aka. Lake Geneva) and the French Alps.

Spending time apart for oneself to seek God’s perspective in a difficult situation or transition, with opportunity for prayer and ministry with a counselor.

Individual counseling will be determined on the basis of the needs and expectations of the guest, though will need to fit in with any existing counselling or debriefing engagements of the staff.

These ministries are offered in the context of a YWAM base, thus each person will also have the opportunity of taking part in community meetings, as desired, and are requested to respect the culture of the YWAM base.

A day alone with God

Sometimes the rush and crush of life, its schedules and manifold pressures can build up an accuulation of stress and we recognise as did Christ Jesus, that some ‘time out’ is needed to quietly resource oneself alone with the Father.

We are delighted to offer places of peace where it’s possible to ‘go up onto the mountain’ to pray and/or just to spend time quietly with the Lotd, inactive or creatively.

Feel free to contact us and enquire further about facilities available.

Debriefing

Are you leaving your field of service through normal transition, overly stressful, conflict or traumatic circumstances?  You can benefit from debriefing those circumstances by sharing your story with those whose past experience, level of understanding, listening skills and training enable them to guide you through a process to help you leave those circumstances behind and free you to return to your mission field or proceed with the next chapter of your lives.

A residential debriefing retreat of 3 to 5 days is based on a process developed over 30 years by Le Rucher Ministries.
