Foundation for Counseling Ministry (formerly IBC)

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrew 4:16

What is FCM?

The aim of FCM is to know God in the deep parts of our soul that do not yet know His love and truth, and from there to make Him known to others.  The calling of the College of Counseling and Healthcare is about partnering with God to bring about “healing of the nations” (Revelation 22:2).  In this school we learn to bring healing to individuals who are broken in various ways: culturally, in the family, through difficulty in relationships, burnout, depression, unforgiveness, etc.  Many have testified to the life-changing effects of the FCM in their personal lives and in ministry. This school is also useful in equipping YWAM staff to better serve in the areas where God has called them.

FCM is designed as a six-month training program with two distinct phases - Lecture and Outreach.

For Whom?

The school is open to those who have completed a DTS or Crossroads DTS.  It is the entry-level school towards acquiring a degree in Counseling through U of N.

The U of N practices modular, outcomes-based education.  Learning includes students’ personal journey, time to process and work through the information/knowledge, and practice skills in the classroom.  Students live in a community setting where the learning process continues through interpersonal relationships. Community life gives an opportunity to encounter more of God and grow into the likeness of Christ.
